Lent 2009

Mama Bean gave me a great idea for something to give up for Lent...lust for gear.

So for the next 40 err...39 days, I will not lust for new bass gear. I will not browse bass classified ads. I will not talk about the new bass I want. Or the new amp. Or the new cabinet. Or the new pedal. I will not talk about buying new gear with fellow musicians (Greg and Rolly, you need to help me with this). I will be happy with what I have, and not spend copious amounts of time filling my head with thoughts of bass stuff.

I think this will be a good exercise in will-power and will definitely be something that gives me time to bring me closer to God.
